THE CLUBS

Tourism club is active, went for trucking, conducted a tour and QUIZ competition on tourism. ARC of letters club organized QUIZ competition, GD and vocabulary building programmes; Lingua phone system was provided for developing the communicative skills of the students. Technical club arranged special seminar on LINUX and competition in programming and paper presentation. Bimonthly News letter is proposed. Electronics and communication association formed and conducted a seminar on Artificial Intelligence & Neural networks, technical QUIZ and competitions.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The students of AWH Engineering college has participated in various Inter Collegiate Engineering College Competitions including RAGAM, a National Intercollegiate Engineering festival organized by NIT Calicut. The students made the college proud by winning prizes in RAGAM 2003 and RAGOM 2004. Students also won prizes in State level competitions conducted by MATHRUBUMI. One of the students secured 3rd place in state level technical paper presentation competition.

NSS Activities

NSS camp was held last year for 10 days at Karassery (December’07). Students attended the Camp. Many special activities like Tree planting and  orientation program were also conducted. The Campus is declared as plastic free one and NSS volunteers are helping the authorities for the same.

Sports and Games

Play grounds are made available for football, Cricket and Volley Ball. 200 meters track is being laid.  Cricket team participated in the intercollegiate tournaments of Calicut University held at Sulthan Bathery. The students union conducted a shuttle badminton tournament as well as a chess tournament.

Alumni Association

Started functioning and at present about 100 students of first batch were enrolled as life members.
